Job overview

Newport Community School Primary Academy is a friendly and welcoming school set in the heart of Barnstaple.

As our new Headteacher, you will have the ability to coach, celebrate and promote very high quality teaching and learning, as well as being committed to partnership, collaboration and sharing.

You will work with the Executive Principal of the Tarka Learning Partnership, the other Headteachers, local Governing Body, staff, children and parents to ensure excellence and a high quality education for all.

Newport is a very popular community school and has been outstanding for 10 years (2008 and 2015).

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive school community which is outward facing, receptive to change and poised to enter a new era of development.

All application materials are available on www.newportprimary.devon.sch.uk under the tab ‘Our Academy’.

Visits to the School are welcome.
