Teaching ServiceWarialda High School is a Yr 7 to 12 comprehensive High School of 165 students, of which with 22% are ATSI students. A large proportion of students come from rural properties and family incomes fluctuate with farming conditions. The majority of students have a strong work ethic and sense of morals, highly valuing education and extracurricular sport. School resourcing is significant, based on a FOEI of 135 with 21.5 teachers and a small number of individually funded students. A third of senior students are engages in a school based apprenticeship or traineeship. In consultation with students, parents and the community, school directions aim to improve student reading, writing and numeracy while moving into the excelling areas of Learning Culture, Effective Classroom Practice and Educational Leadership.

Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills with the capacity to be a highly effective and collaborative member of the school’s executive team leading a cycle of continuous improvement including supporting whole school targeted improvements such as literacy, numeracy and attendance.

Demonstrated exemplary programming and classroom practice, maximising student outcomes while delivering on whole school priorities.

Ability to lead and manage a cohesive faculty that supports and develops all staff members whilst utilising reflective practice processes.

Capacity to lead and supervise a team, using data analysis that informs teaching practice to meet the needs of a diverse range of students.
