Are you an effective leader, who would like to lead a talented highly motivated team in an exceptional, community focused infant school?

Whybridge Infant School is a successful and popular three form entry community school in the London Borough of Havering where “the indoor and outdoor spaces provide excellent resources for pupils to be engaged and to enjoy their learning” – Ofsted 2018.

The Board of Governors is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader to follow on from the success of our current Head Teacher who is retiring. The school are seeking a leader with vision and commitment to build on our existing strengths as a good school and move it forward to outstanding. The ideal candidate will be forward-looking and committed to maximising and maintaining the progress already made, focusing on the well-being and attainment of each pupil and ensuring every child reaches their full potential.

At our school we focus on developing positive attitudes to learning that will enable our children to become creative, enquiring and dynamic problem solvers. We have a creative curriculum that equips all children to take on the challenges they meet whilst moving through EYFS and on to KS1. The Head Teacher appointed must have significant experience as an excellent classroom practitioner in EYFS and KS1.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated and highly motivated team of staff providing direction and support in all aspects of their work.

We are looking for an inspirational Head Teacher:

•with a proven track record in school leadership and the vision and energy to lead our school on its continuing positive journey

•who is committed to excellence in teaching and learning and will challenge, inspire and motivate staff and pupils

•that is passionate in providing a creative, lively curriculum linked to the school’s aims and vision

•with excellent communication and relationship skills, and who is receptive and approachable

•with drive, enthusiasm, imagination and commitment to nurture and further enhance our safe, happy, inclusive and effective learning environment

•who has experience of working successfully in partnership with parents, governors and the local community in order to further develop our school’s strong collaborative ethos

•a commitment to both pupil and staff wellbeing.
