Mont à l’Abbé School is Jersey’s 3-19 Special School.
The school educates children with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including those with Profound, Multiple, or Severe Learning Difficulties. A significant proportion of children also have Autism or Sensory Difficulties. The school, split between a Primary and Secondary site, provides a well-resourced, safe, caring environment and a very good standard of provision for the full age range.
The school prides itself on its teamwork, dedication, high expectations and its reputation for establishing very positive relationships with the children and the families it serves. External reviews consistently affirm the school’s high standing and standards under the current headteacher. An appropriately qualified and experienced leader is sought to continue this strong ethos and build upon the school’s successful track record.
More information about the work of the school can be obtained from the school website www.montalabbe.sch.je. Information on working in Jersey and its education service can be found at www.gov.je
