MAGART are looking to appoint a Head Teacher to manage the two bilingual schools and the expansion of future schools. A flair for curriculum management and development is necessary to ensure that MAGART delivers high quality British education principles.

MAGART International Kindergarten and Nursery are expanding their educational provision by opening up two International Kindergartens in Hong Kong in 2018 September.

MAGART is a sub-brand under the Little Golden Star International Education Group ("Little Golden Star"). Little Golden Star owns more than a hundred chained kindergartens in over fifteen provinces and municipalities in China with more than 40,000 teachers and students. We are one of the top three largest chained kindergarten groups in China

Salary, Bonus and Share Option:

  • Between £81,800 /HKD900000 per year and £87,300 HKD960000 per year depending on experience
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Share options (of the pre IPO company)

Main Responsibilities:

  • develop and manage a high quality and compliant education curriculum
  • develop curriculum content and training plans to ensure  of a child's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities
  • manage staffing, key roles and functions of all staff regarding planning, monitoring and evaluating
  • use data to track to track attendance, performance etc,.
  • ensure compliance e.g health and safety
  • control school finances
  • work with external advisors  governors, shareholders senior management and other stakeholder

Education & Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate entry: a full-time degree in an early childhood-related subject, taking three to four years to complete and leading to EYTS.
  • Head Teacher related qualifications: examples: National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) or the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). (desirable but not required)
  • Candidates must be fluent in English

Experience:

  • 5 year kindergarten related Experience or above

Languages:

  • Native Level English Speaker
  • Cantonese / Mandarin is desirable but not necessary

Characteristics:

  • Honest, innovative, self-motivated, highly initiative with excellent leadership skills and strong capability in developing a school-based curriculum.

Restrictions

  • Due to visa restrictions we are only able to employ candidates under the age of 60
  • Clean criminal record check

Entry:

  • Flight to Hong Kong and annual flights each year
  • Airport Pick Up
  • Working Visa paid for and provided by Magart
  • Teacher Induction Training and Orientation

  • Flight allowance 10,000RMB after 1 year contract
  • Renewal Bonus
  • Medical insurance provided
  • 11 days statutory holidays and 14 days paid holiday
  • Regular work time: Mon-Fri : 8:15a.m-5:15p.m
  • 1 hour for lunch

Job Type:

12 month fixed Term Employment Contract renewable each year

All teachers are fully trained with a Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education field, a relevant degree or with Higher Diploma or above. Local teachers and English teachers are acting as parallel dual class teachers in each class. Our local teachers speak Cantonese and Putonghua teachers are Native Putonghua Teachers (NPT) who are all holding "PSC Certificate". All English teachers are Native English Teachers(NET) with English as their mother tongues.
