Head Teacher

There is an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire and enjoy our Greenmount team. Due to the retirement of our long standing Head Teacher we are looking for a leader with the dedication, imagination and drive to support our pupils in their learning journey. We need someone to provide our inner-city community with the high quality education they expect and appreciate and who will build on our existing reputation and continue to enhance our provision.

Regeneration projects have led to a thriving community, living close to school with amenities that school pupils can explore and enjoy. The school has a very good reputation with the community as it had been judged outstanding on 2 occasions. Our pastoral team and inclusion team are strong and we have about 25% of pupils on the SEND register.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a proven track record of successful leadership, improvement and transformation in a primary school.
• Provide our children with the excitement of a relevant, challenging and creative curriculum.
• Lead in building relationships with parents, carers, children, staff, governors and the wider community.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Maintain the culture of high expectations with a relentless focus on continuing improvement.
• Have a thorough knowledge of pedagogy – the art of teaching – in a primary school.
• Be a passionate, aspirational and innovative leader with a strong vision which will motivate, energise staff, children and the whole school community.
