Teaching ServiceQuakers Hill High School is a co-educational high school situated in the North-West of Sydney and is one of four schools forming the Nirimba Collegiate group. In 2021, Quakers Hill High School began the transition to a full Year 7-12 campus, with Year 11 commencing in 2021 and the first Year 12 commenced this year. The teaching and support staff are vibrant, enthusiastic and work collaboratively with the school community to provide a quality learning environment. It has an enrolment of 860 students, 32% are from a language background other than English and 39 are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. A Support Unit, comprising of 2 classes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and 2 multi-categorical classes, is a vital element of our school community. The school places heavy emphasis on future focused learning and Positive Behaviour for Learning programs as well as creative and performing arts and sporting initiatives. Quakers Hill High School has embedded strong literacy and numeracy programs throughout all key learning areas. The school implemented a Bring Your Own Device program, initially with Years 7, 9 and 11 and extended to all year groups in 2022.
Approval to teach Mathematics and proven ability to lead staff, in the delivery of senior Mathematics courses.
Demonstrated exemplary classroom practice and capacity to lead colleagues in promoting a culture of collaboration and innovative teaching practice to develop students with a wide range of abilities which result in improved student outcomes.
Demonstrated capacity to design and implement high quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs and assessments across all stages, which engage and support students with diverse learning needs, including those from Aboriginal backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively with the executive team to lead, manage and implement whole school initiatives that support delivery of the 2021-2024 Strategic Improvement Plan.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
