Head Teacher

John Harrison CE Primary School is a successful (‘Good’ Ofsted rating 2018) voluntary-controlled, local authority-maintained school located in the popular North Lincolnshire village of Barrow-Upon-Humber, with good access to the Lincolnshire Wolds and the cities of Lincoln, York and Kingston-Upon-Hull.
 
John Harrison has close links to the local authority and Diocese of Lincoln education team and was instrumental in establishing the Barton Local Collaborative Trust (BLCT), a group of nine local primary and secondary schools which has proved to be mutually supportive, beneficial and developmental while allowing individual schools to maintain their own identity and autonomy.
 
Following the retirement of our successful and well respected Headteacher in August 2019, the Governors of John Harrison CE Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced, inspirational individual who will:

• Demonstrate leadership and management skills compatible with our school’s ethos, vision and values.
• Continue to provide an environment in which every child can thrive and flourish.
• Value every child and strive to ensure that both pupils and staff have high aspirations for achievement.
• Be a positive role model, with the ability to motivate children and staff alike, inspiring all to reach their full potential.
• Continue to develop the well-established, strong relationships with children, staff, parents, governors and the local community as well as the local authority, BLCT and Diocese of Lincoln.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to further develop the leadership team.
• Demonstrate the drive, experience and creativity to build on our current high standards of teaching, through continuous school improvement.
