Percy Main Primary School is an area of industrial heritage and situated near the river Tyne. We are a one form entry school, and have good facilities and have recently won an award for our outdoor curriculum.

The governors are looking for an exceptional school leader to succeed our Headteacher, who retires this academic year after 10 years at Percy Main Primary. We hope to appoint a leader who can continue to develop the well-established links with the community.

Our school is a happy nurturing environment which also achieves good results and good OFSTED outcomes. We are committed to a broad and balanced curriculum, and place a strong emphasis on enriching the learning experience, especially in the arts and outdoor curriculum.

Our children and staff are enthusiastic about coming to school. Although our school has families who experience great challenges, the children have a positive attitude, and we have been able to appoint highly qualified staff from a wide field who are passionate about what they do. The staff team is excellent, both teachers and support staff, and are completely committed to getting the best for our children.
