Teaching ServiceTuggerah Lakes Secondary College, Tumbi Umbi Campus has an enrolment of 1174 students, with 3 support units and 157 students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. It is a dynamic and inclusive middle years campus of Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College and works constructively with nine partner schools delivering quality education to its local community from Preschool to Year 12 and beyond. Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College, Tumbi Umbi Campus provides innovative and inclusive programs that engage learners in age and stage appropriate experiences, designed to extend their aspirations. Staff are committed to providing an innovative curriculum and extra curricula activities within a safe, supportive setting. The campus’ wellbeing focus is based on clear, consistent boundaries, high expectations and personal recognition for students and staff. Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with complex needs with demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching practice providing quality differentiated programs.
Explicit evidence of commitment to transition processes observant of policies, procedures and practices that have led to meaningful outcomes for students and their families.
Proven ability to be a visible, accessible leader who possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster successful partnerships with key stakeholders including all staff, families, external agencies and community members.
Demonstrated capacity to work as a productive member of the executive team to initiate, lead and implement a whole school vision with an emphasis on educational inclusivity through the creation of a safe and nurturing environment that ensures every child is known, valued and cared for.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
