Teaching ServiceGreat Lakes College Senior Campus is an integral part of Great Lakes College, a multi-campus collegiate comprising two 7-10 campuses and the Senior Campus. It has an enrolment of approximately 389 enrolments, including 35 Aboriginal students in Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12). The Support Unit has three classes, two multi-categorical (MC) and one IOS. Programs promote students reaching their full potential and transitioning into post school opportunities.
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Demonstrated ability to lead the collaborative development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of effective individual education plans and specialist assistance to support students with diverse and complex learning, behavioural and wellbeing needs.
Proven ability to be a visible, accessible leader who possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster successful partnerships with key stakeholders including students, staff, families, external agencies and community members.
Demonstrated ability to work as a productive member of the executive team to initiate, lead and implement a whole school vision with an emphasis on educational inclusivity through the creation of a safe and nurturing environment that ensures every child is known, valued and cared for.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
