Job overview

Following our recent ‘Good’ Ofsted Inspection (March 2017) the Governing body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Head Teacher willing to support our strong Church school ethos that can lead, further inspire and take our school forward.

Our children would like a Head Teacher who:

  •  Is approachable, forward thinking and enthusiastic.

  •  Will make them excited about their learning and develop their individual talents to the full.

  •  Encourages respect for religious and moral values and tolerance of the views of other religions, races and cultures.

  •  Fosters close links between home, school and the local community and has a genuinely inclusive approach.

Our staff and governors want a Head Teacher who:

  •  Is an inspirational leader with a track record of impact and achievement in education.

  •  Leads by example in all areas of school life.

  •  Is committed to delivering a broad, balanced and creative curriculum.

  •  Has the ability to understand and appreciate the school’s current strengths and the ways in which these might be further developed.

  •  Has exceptional leadership and decision making skills, with the ability to enthuse and motivate pupils, staff, families and governors.

  •  Promotes excellent standards of teaching and learning to ensure that achievement is maintained and improved in all subjects and ensure that all children achieve to their full potential.

  •  Has the ability to nurture and further develop strong and lasting links with the church whilst maintaining outstanding Church School standards as reflected in the Schools SIAMS report.

  •  Is open minded to the possibilities of federation or academisation and working collaboratively with others to sustain and build a learning community,
