We are a small school with big ambitions and this is an opportunity to join us and make a real difference in our hard working, exciting, passionate, caring and, above all, fun loving school! We are on a journey of school improvement and have achieved a great deal over the last academic year.

At Burton Green, our vision is to provide a calm, homely oasis for all children to flourish. Within our happy and safe environment, children have the opportunity to be curious, creative and are challenged. We inspire a sense of pride and belonging through our vibrant curriculum. This forges life skills as well as academic achievement. We aim to be instrumental in achieving good long term outcomes for all of our pupils and are proud to be at the centre of a wonderful community.

The school is a part of the Hope Learning Trust, York which was formed in 2015. We are still a relatively new trust, gradually growing in strength and numbers. Our motto is “A Place to Thrive”, to which we are fully committed, for all our pupils, staff and community.

If you join us, you will be part of a ‘good’ school, keen to grow and develop to ensure we offer nothing less than the absolute best opportunities to each of our children. You will work with a talented team of teachers, support staff and wider school staff, who have energy and enthusiasm for truly making a difference in our children’s lives. You will be a practitioner who values parental contributions to learning, and who wants to rapidly develop their own practice. In return we offer a true commitment to your well-being and excellent CPD opportunities, both within our own school, and across other schools.
