Since its foundation in 2002, Queen’s College Preparatory School (QCPS) has enjoyed rapid growth to become one of the most successful girls’ preparatory schools in London.  Situated in Portland Place, QCPS is part of Queen’s College, London, the historic independent girls’ school in nearby Harley Street; the two schools share a governing Council.  The Council is seeking to appoint a Head of QCPS from September 2020, succeeding Mrs Emma Webb, who is leaving after four highly successful years.

QCPS is a school of up to 240 pupils aged 4-11, of whom around 80 are in Pre-Prep (4-7).  Every year QCPS pupils progress at 11+ to independent schools of the highest quality, including a number who go on to Queen’s College.  The school is a member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools and prides itself on its happy, safe and supportive atmosphere, where every pupil is an important individual.  QCPS works with every girl to bring out the best in her; it builds independence and the skills to work collaboratively so that they grow as learners and as people.

Full details of how to apply are contained in the Appointment Information Pack. Applications will be considered as they are received by the College, and early applications are warmly encouraged.

An attractive and competitive package will be negotiated with the preferred candidate, dependent on experience.

The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 4 November 2019.

Queen’s College, London is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
