Head

The Governors of the Corporation of King’s are seeking a successor to Andrew Halls OBE who is retiring in July 2022 following what will be nearly fifteen years of exceptional service.
King’s College School, Wimbledon is one of the most successful schools in the world. It provides an inspirational and forward-thinking education to more than 1,600 pupils (1,500 boys aged 7-18 and around 100 girls aged 16-18). Exam results are stellar but King’s is equally proud of its excellent pastoral care, its commitment to public benefit and an ethos strongly rooted in kindness, respect for and service to others.
The Head of King’s will be in overall charge of a group of schools made up of a pre-prep, junior and senior schools in Wimbledon and five international schools. The successful candidate will be an exceptional educational leader with a strong vision for King’s, an impressive track record, and a commitment to delivering outstanding academic and co-curricular programmes and pastoral care. This is a rare opportunity for a candidate committed to building on the schools’ successes to date. First-class communication skills, a strong sense of social responsibility, a deep empathy with the values and ethos of the schools, support for the international schools programme and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing educational landscape will be pre-requisites.
