Job overview

The successful candidate will be flexible and proactive in their approach. Maida Vale School opened in September 2020 so is still in its infancy as a school. This will mean that a wide variety of tasks will fall to the postholder. The chosen candidate will be the principle representative of the School that prospective Parents speak to; first impressions will be of utmost importance. The role requires an individual excited at being involved in the development of this project with the energy to make it a success.

The Headmaster’s PA and Registrar is central to the smooth running of the Headmaster’s office and key to successful pupil admissions. The postholder will be a central point of contact for communications, internal and external, and will closely assist the Headmaster with operational planning and decision making. At the heart of the School, it is essential that the Headmaster’s PA and Registrar is committed to the School and its values.

The Headmaster’s PA and Registrar role combines full PA and administrative duties with School Registrar responsibilities, encompassing

  • professional and confidential support to the Headmaster;
  • close collaboration with the Deputy Head and Senior Leadership Team;
  • effective delivery of successful internal and external communications on the Headmaster’s behalf;
  • being a high-profile exemplary role model and leader of professional behaviours for colleagues.

As School Registrar, s/he will also manage the full cycle of the admissions process and associated responsibilities.

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • excellent organisational skills;
  • a high level of computer literacy;
  • proven experience of working in a busy environment (preferably in an education setting);

• and who is educated to degree level.

Hours of Work

Normal hours of work will be 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

There will be some occasions when there will be a need to work later in the evenings or a need to be present during an evening or weekend function.

Salary 

Up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Holiday Entitlement

Five weeks a year.
