Job overview

Ashford Park Primary School is a three-form entry local authority school for children aged four to eleven. We are a Surrey County Council primary, serving the community of Ashford North, close to Heathrow Airport and the M25 and M3 motorways. With over 650 children, we are a large, happy and friendly school, where everyone matters.

Inspiring a love for life-long learning is at the heart of everything that we do. We aim to provide the very best education for all children, by contributing to their wellbeing, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. We are an inclusive school and proud to have a specialist SEND centre as part of our school community.  Our values of Belonging, Peace, Aspiration, Compassion, Resilience and Challenge are demonstrated every day in our school.

Our current headteacher is standing down after fourteen years in this post. She has been instrumental to the success of the school and its expansion. We are now looking for a headteacher who can lead us through the next phase of our development. Whilst we do many things very well, we are not complacent.

We are keen to appoint a leader with the vision and skills to build on our work to date and lead us on the next phase of our development.   You will need to be visible, a role model and able to get the best out of those around you. You may be an existing headteacher looking for a new challenge or a senior leader who feels ready for such a role. Emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills are likely to be key strengths.  Of most importance is that you demonstrate that children and their development is at the heart of everything you do. We have much to build on with a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic staff all committed to provide the highest standards of education for children of our local community.

Closing date: Monday 27th March

Ashford Park Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
