This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a brand new primary school. Norton Hill Primary School will open for 60 Reception pupils in September 2017, growing to 630 places when full – in a brand new £10 million pound building.

Norton Hill Primary School is part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership, a multi-academy trust consisting of Midsomer Norton Sixth Form; Norton Hill, Somervale and St. Dunstan’s Secondary Schools; Clutton, Dundry, High Littleton, Longvernal, Trinity Church and Welton Primary Schools.
Norton Hill Primary School will offer an outstanding all-round education, drawing on the resources of Norton Hill secondary to offer a unique educational experience: pupils will have exciting access to outdoor learning, STEM resources and modern languages that are rare in primary education. The school will have a strong local governing body and support from the Trust.
Planning is in for a site locally and plans are well underway for leasing a local school building as a temporary site for the first year.

We are delighted to have opened our new £10.9 million primary school. It is a three form entry school which has been funded by the Department for Education. We have wonderful facilities which are on offer to the Midsomer Norton Community. Facilities include superb sports provision, with two indoor sports halls, a dance studio, two large pitches for football and rugby and a hard surface sports pitch which has basketball, tennis, hockey, football and netball pitches. We specialise in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Forest School and Outdoor Learning.
