Following the retirement of the current Headteacher, the Governors of Combe Down Primary School and the Palladian Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a caring and inspirational Headteacher to lead our school into the next phase of its development. Combe Down Primary School is favourably situated on the outskirts of Bath, Britain’s only World Heritage city.
Our school has an inclusive ‘family’ ethos and a creative curriculum which places an emphasis on nurturing the whole child. We benefit from an active and supportive local community, and a strong partnership with Holy Trinity Church, which together further enrich the educational experiences offered to our young people.

Combe Down School is located on the south eastern edge of the city of Bath in the old stone mining village of Combe Down; it is a beautiful semi-rural setting.
It is a happy, family school in which we encourage pupils and adults to have a caring, considerate and respectful attitude towards one another. Combe Down School is one of the founder members of the Palladian Academy Trust which was formed over the summer and autumn of 2016. The Trust made up of eight local schools and is run by an Executive Leadership Group comprised of the headteachers of each school and the Chief Operating Officer. The Trust is led by Ralph Allen School, itself an academy since 2012.
The Trust's aims are to provide exceptional learning experiences for all its pupils. The key MAT values for a great education are:
