Balaam Wood is a much smaller than average 11-16 maintained secondary school serving the community of Frankley. Balaam Wood is seen as the “anchor of the community” and there is a growing confidence in the school’s ability to provide an outstanding educational experience for the young people we serve. This is resulting in increased student numbers.

We are seeking to appoint a Headteacher to build on the undoubted strengths of the school and who shares an unwavering determination to continue on our journey to outstanding.

You will be a driven individual, determined to create the best possible opportunities, experience and outcomes for our students, staff and the wider community whilst maximising the advantages associated with a small school.

We are seeking a Headteacher who can lead with clarity and integrity, inspire and influence others and who has the rigour and passion to make our school a great place to learn.
