Job overview

Headteacher, Crest Academy

Crest Academy is a large, successful secondary school serving an incredibly diverse community across Brent and the surrounding areas. We embrace the cultural opportunities that this brings.  We are part of E-ACT, an established multi-Academy Trust with 28 academies across the country. We serve some of the most disadvantaged young people in the country.

We are focused on providing the very best experience for our pupils. Every student has access to a fully inclusive and appropriately challenging curriculum, which is taught by highly qualified and outstanding teachers. We expect all students to strive for excellence in their academic studies and that they will challenge themselves to extend their knowledge and understanding.

We are ambitious and keen to respond strategically to the evolving educational landscape. Having recently been judged “Good” by Ofsted, we have a strong foundation for the next stage of our development. We don’t underestimate the challenges and we recognise that there is scope for further improvement.

With a track record of successful school leadership, you will have an educational philosophy and a personal value set that matches our own. You will be comfortable working with and influencing a broad range of individuals and organisations both within and outside of the academy. Your interpersonal skills are likely to be seen as a strength and will set you apart from others.

We have learnt a great deal as MATs have evolved over time and are all very excited about our next phase of growth and development. If you are an outstanding leader who has the creativity, courage and commitment to enable our staff and pupils to achieve our ambitions, then please get in touch.

We care deeply about delivering the highest quality of education for our young people. If you think you can build on our strengths and lead further success then download full details on the role from The E-Act website; https://eact.face-ed.co.uk/Vacancies/Detail?campaignRef=SCH-E-A-1452

E-ACT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. All appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks and satisfactory references. E-ACT is also committed to promoting equality, challenging discrimination and developing community cohesion. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Closing date: Friday 6th January.
