An exciting Headteacher vacancy has arisen within St John and St Francis Church School as part of the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust (BWMAT). · able to build on successful initiatives instigated in the last few years;

· committed to understanding, valuing and developing the Christian ethos of our school so that it shines through all that we do;

· able to work constructively and collaboratively with staff to build upon the good progress that has already been made; and

· enthusiastic about working collaboratively with other schools in the BWMAT and with other local schools.

We can offer you:

· pupils who enjoy coming to school, are well behaved and keen to learn;

· committed staff who have good and effective relationships with the pupils;

· an attractive, spacious school site, conveniently located to both motorway networks and the beautiful Somerset countryside;

· the support and commitment of the local Church, parents and governing board.

Candidates are invited to visit the school on 15th, 16th, 22nd or 23rd March 2018. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact Naomi Chandler – School Business Manager via phone 01278 456918 or email naomi.chandler@sjsf.bwmat.org.

About St John and St Francis Church School

We are a large, caring Church School with high aspirations for all our children. We strive to achieve the highest possible standards both academically but also in meeting the needs of all our children.

We aspire to be the best in all we do and constantly develop social skills and courteous behaviour. We expect the highest standards from each member of our school community as we support each other in our day-to-day learning.

We can also offer single year groups across the school and larger than average facilities and are always looking at ways to develop our school, both inside and out, to enhance and support your child in their learning and enjoyment.

We benefit from strong links with the local Church and with our local community. Have a look at our Class Pages and our links to the local area to find out more.

Parental interest and support has a huge impact on a child’s education and we actively encourage all parents and carers to contribute wherever possible to their child’s time in school and at home.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all adults entering the School to share this commitment. We have in place many policies and procedures to ensure the development of a vigilant and safe culture.
