Southville Primary school – set in the heart of Bristol – is looking for a dynamic, energetic and innovative Head to lead the school through its exciting next phase of growth. The school's expansion will take it from its current population of 497 to 660 pupils and from one to three form entry, across two sites that are just 800 metres apart.

Building on the strong foundations that have been established by the current Head (who has been in post for over 10 years) and the Senior Leadership Team, the new Head has the opportunity to:

  • Reinforce the child-centred and holistic approach to education that has been fostered at the school
  • Develop the school’s reputation for diversity and equality
  • Make their mark on the second site that began construction in 2014 – alongside the original Edwardian building
  • Lead and deliver a revised vision for the school by working with a committed and strategically minded Governing Body

The successful candidate will be ambitious, creative, a natural leader and above all else, have the ability to really make things happen.
