Headteacher

Following the retirement of our dedicated Headteacher, the Governors are seeking an exceptional leader who will build on the strong foundations already in place and who has the drive and vision to direct the school from "good" to "outstanding", while continuing to support a culture where every child enjoys success in all aspects of learning.

We are looking for:

• A leader who can inspire children and staff alike to achieve their potential;
• Someone who possesses strong leadership skills;
• Someone who will continue to put our children's learning and outcomes at the heart of every decision;
• A leader who has the confidence to work well across the Compass Academy Trust and beyond.

Wickham Common is a popular two-form entry school located at the very edge of the Green Belt.

The school is set in extensive grounds which are well used for a range of sporting and other outdoor activities; we are very proud of our Forest School status. The school enjoys particular success in Music which has been recognised by Artsmark Gold. We value and promote independence, thoughtfulness and curiosity.
