After some challenging years, we have recently thrived under the confident leadership of an excellent Head Teacher. The right candidate will be enthusiastic about continuing this journey, and possess the skills and creativity to do so.
The Governors will look for:
- Confident and grounded leadership, which must include the ability to communicate and motivate effectively and positively; to listen to and engage with pupils, staff, parents and the local community in order to create an environment of respect and willing collaboration
- Passion for innovative and creative learning, and the talent to enable this
- Resilience and creativity when dealing with the changing educational climate and its demands
- Proven organisational, financial, and management skills
- A track record for driving educational excellence for all children
What we are proud of:
- Highly motivated, experienced, and dedicated staff who work well together and are committed to raising standards
- Pupils who are both spirited and polite, with great enthusiasm for learning
- Support from our parents, who contribute to a positive educational partnership through their wide range of skills, and a dedicated and successful PTA.
- Involved, experienced and supportive governors who work hard on behalf of the school
- Our commitment to providing CPD, support and training for all staff.
- Wonderful outdoor facilities. (Our school grounds - with many trees, pergolas, play areas, a teepee, a small ‘forest’ and a large pond garden - are an inspirational environment for exploring and learning. There are also plenty of arenas for sport, including the Astroturf pitch.)
- Extensive music and dance provision and a beautiful performing arts studio
- Wrap-around care for 51 weeks a year and an outstanding Nursery
