Job overview

We are delighted that you have shown an interest in this post which commences in September 2020.

The Board of Trustees at Vision Trust are looking to appoint a new Headteacher for Sunny Bank Primary School who has the vision and skills to continue to take this school forward and is dedicated to ensure that the school remains one to be proud of.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a successful school and in return we offer high levels of support, hardworking staff and well behaved children who have a love of learning.

Sunny Bank Primary School is part of Vision Multi Academy, a community of schools in which our pupils come first; we are proud of each and every one of them and want them to thrive, flourish and achieve their full potential within a supportive and caring environment. The schools in our Trust have come together to recruit, retain and develop the highest quality staff in order to deliver the best educational outcomes – and be the employer of choice. And passionate belief that each and every child matters.

The opportunity to lead Sunny Bank School is unique. It is a great school serving a brilliant community. You will be supported well by an Executive Headteacher. Sunny Bank Primary School plays an active role in shaping the development of the Trust. Our schools have retained their identities whilst committing to our shared values and core principles. It is crucial that our new Headteacher actively engages in ensuring that these principles underpin
everything they do.

As the Headteacher, you will join the Trust strategic team with the other Trust Headteachers, making key decisions on the direction of the Trust and ensuring that we are collectively working to deliver our shared aims.
It is an exciting time to join the Trust.

Please do come to visit the school or arrange for an informal telephone chat. The following dates are available for visits: Monday 9 March at 9.30am, Tuesday 10 March at 2.30pm and Wednesday 11 March at 4.00pm. Please contact Donna Cartwright to arrange a visit at d.cartwright@bury.gov.uk or 0161 766 2005. We look forward to meeting you.

We have a commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, so an enhanced criminal record check will be undertaken for the successful candidate. The offer of employment is also subject to two satisfactory references, one being from your current or most recent employer. We will also require confirmation of qualifications, proof of your identity and your right to work in the UK.

Should you wish to apply, please return your completed application form, along with a cover letter, to Donna Cartwright at d.cartwright@bury.gov.uk by no later than 3pm on Friday 20 March 2020.

Thank you for your interest in Vision Multi Academy Trust and Sunny Bank Primary School.

Best wishes for your application.
