Job overview

Headteacher

Responsible to: The Governing Board and DEMAT

We are seeking a new, inspirational headteacher to provide professional leadership for the School which secures its success and improvement, ensuring high quality education for all its pupils and good standards of learning and achievement.

St Luke’s is a diverse community where children are encouraged to explore and celebrate individuality, and to build upon who they are to achieve success. Our school is welcoming, happy and caring. In keeping with our Christian foundation, we focus on personal qualities through the values we teach, to establish the relationships necessary to succeed both socially and intellectually. Our pupils become good communicators, with a ‘have a go’ attitude, and the confidence to learn from their mistakes and move onwards.

The school, its staff and its governors are committed to nurturing happy, confident, life-long learners in an inclusive and innovative learning environment. Pupils have excellent attitudes to learning. They are especially good at working together to help each other and are polite, courteous and respectful.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to visit St Luke’s C of E Primary School, and we hope that the opportunities, children and challenge that you encounter will encourage you to apply.
