Lady Elizabeth Hastings C of E Primary School are looking for an inspirational, highly effective and, compassionate individual to appoint to the role of Headteacher.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher who, guided by our Christian values, can create a safe, caring environment where pupils can thrive emotionally, intellectually, morally, physically, socially and spiritually. 

We encourage applications from individuals who have had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as a member of a school senior management team as well as established Heads.

At our school we are ambitious for both our staff and children, in November 2018 we were rated a ‘Good’ school following an Ofsted inspection and in October 2019 we were graded ‘Good’ in our SIAMS report.

As Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School we work closely with other church schools within the Diocese of York.  We also benefit from valuable collaborative partnerships with local schools; Brigshaw High School, Allerton Bywater, Great Preston, Kippax Ash Tree, Kippax Greenfield, Kippax North, Methley and Swillington. This partnership is called The Brigshaw Learning Partnership.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a commitment and ability to communicate Christian values and principles through all aspects of school life
  • Have a proven record of leading, managing, developing, inspiring and motivating staff
  • Demonstrate the skills needed to develop and maintain an outstanding learning environment 
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
