Headteacher

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed individual with senior leadership experience to be the Headteacher of Pendeen School from April 2018 with a limited teaching commitment. 

With a child-centred approach, the successful candidate will provide a creative, inclusive and challenging curriculum which inspires and motivates children and supports high quality learning.

We are a small, caring school serving a village community, located near St Just, Penzance.   Pendeen School joined Truro and Penwith Academy Trust in April 2014 and in our recent Ofsted inspection (March 2017) we were rated good in all areas with inspectors noting “significant capacity for continued improvement towards outstanding”. Our aim is to provide a distinctive school experience based on outstanding teaching and a high quality, broad and balanced curriculum. The school has secured significant funding to undertake a phased programme of building improvements which will create a vibrant new learning environment.
