Tiverton is a well-established, but growing, 70 place primary special school, for children with a broad range of learning difficulties. A planned expansion of these numbers is part of the LA future strategy. We are enjoying a new purposeful, well equipped state of the art building which opened in January 2018.
Our children and parents have embraced the transition to their new home and have settled well. Our highly respected and driven Headteacher has therefore decided it is time to enjoy a well-earned retirement and hand this exciting legacy to a passionate, inspirational leader of the future. Is that you?
Tiverton is a good school in inspection terms, but outstanding to us. The school is a community where the partnership between parents, staff and the community ensures that our children have the best opportunities and aspire to achieve and enjoy.
We believe that our children must sit at the heart of everything we do - do you agree?
Our children and staff deserve to be heard, supported and encourage to achieve, by someone special who can embrace our many strengths to set and deliver an aspirational vision for our children’s future success – is that the challenge and direction you want?
Our school enjoys a healthy sense of team spirit making it a happy and supportive place to work. However, we also have high standards and expectations scrutinised through a strong and supportive governance who have sustained a balanced budget! – is that something you share?
Coventry’s school partnership is very secure, offering a supportive framework of peer and Local Authority support underpinned by our special school inclusive alliance – we have much to be proud of – would you like to experience that partnership and grow as a leader?
If you feel inspired to lead our very special school then we hope this is for you.
Please take the next step to securing your future and ours – in return we promise that your leadership journey is going to be exciting and fulfilling. We would very much welcome you to visit the school, our children can so much better describe the joy of Tiverton when they meet you!
