George Hastwell School is a 90 place special school situated on Walney Island in Barrow in Furness. The school educates children and young people aged 4 to 19 years. - Positive experience of working with specialist education for SEND young people
- Ability to promote the inclusion of young people
- Proven record of developing and supporting a staff team
- Ability to be resilient and work effectively under pressure whilst delivering stable leadership
- Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulatory body requirements
The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS).
