Job overview

Bolton Primary School is seeking a Headteacher for January 2017.

Nestled in the heart of Cumbria's stunning Eden Valley, Bolton Primary School is looking for a new Headteacher to help us build on our recent GOOD Ofsted review –

IS THIS YOU?

With views of the Pennines and the Lake District we are a thriving school, praised for the curriculum breadth, close involvements with the local community and absolute commitment to putting the pupils’ best interests at the heart of the school’s vision.

“Your small village school offers pupils a wealth of experiences ..” Ofsted April 2016.

The Governors are seeking a confident person with proven success in leadership, a passion for teaching, and an understanding of the needs of a small rural community.

The next Headteacher will be someone who wishes to maintain the current ethos and drive for continual progress in raising expectations and outcomes for all children, whilst bringing their own enthusiasm, skills and attributes to the school.

The school is expected to expand over the next few years and the Governors are looking for a Headteacher with a shared vison and skills to effectively manage this journey.

Further information can be obtained from Mick Brookes, Chair of Governors, email: chair@bolton.cumbria.sch.uk.

Interviews will take place on 12th and 13th September 2016.
Closing date for applications is 31st August 2016.

Informal viewings of the school are very welcome. Please contact Calum Campbell, Headteacher (tel: 017683 61511 or email: head@bolton.cumbria.sch.uk) to arrange a visit.

Bolton Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be required.
