Etwall Primary School is a thriving village primary school in South Derbyshire. The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring Headteacher with the ambition, creativity and skillset to build on the school’s many strengths for January 2020. 

Etwall Primary School is an active part of the local community, with children, parents and carers supporting events and activities at the school and in the village.

Teaching is delivered by a committed and talented staff team who are passionate about creating opportunities for each child. We are seeking a Headteacher who will provide strong, effective leadership to guide this team to deliver clearly evidenced progress throughout the school to ensure every child achieves their full potential.

Pupil welfare is at the heart of Etwall Primary and we have a commitment to work closely with children, parents and carers. This role offers a motivated leader the opportunity to capitalise on the school’s strengths and embrace the challenges to ensure positive outcomes for all.

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to ensuring the highest quality teaching and learning. You will have the creativity and vision to inspire and lead change and have an optimistic, can-do attitude that will motivate, engage and empower pupils, staff and the wider community. You will be accustomed to personal accountability for pupil outcomes and all aspects of your work and, above all else, you will put children at the heart of every decision.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
