Following the retirement of our current headteacher, we are seeking to appoint a school leader who can maintain and build upon the excellent leadership of this thriving school. Ashburton is a welcoming and happy school with an ethos of aspiration and achievement.  The school provides a wide, exciting curriculum and through creative teaching, pupils are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential with success being recognised and celebrated in all its forms.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an effective track record in senior leadership and be committed to providing the best outcomes for all of our children. We are looking for a school leader who has the skills to motivate and enthuse: our dedicated staff team, our supportive parents and community and our confident and hardworking children.

Ashburton Primary School is a member of the South Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust and the successful candidate will join a collegiate and motivated team of school leaders and be expected to participate fully in the wider activities of the Trust.

Sitting within Dartmoor National Park and surrounded by beautiful countryside, Ashburton is a town steeped in history.  We have a thriving, diverse and welcoming community with strong links to the school. The school is conveniently located just off the A38 providing excellent transport links to Exeter and Plymouth.
