Cullompton Community College is a popular and successful maintained school (11-16) rated “Good” by Ofsted (2017). Results in Maths, English and Science are consistently at, or above, the National Average, as are many of the Ebacc subjects. Parents in the catchment choose this school as first choice and, with a change in the area’s demographics, has an expanding student population.
The Governors of Cullompton Community College are seeking a new Headteacher starting in September 2020 to follow on from the current highly successful Head who is retiring. Ideally, you must have a proven track record in leadership and school improvement as well as a willingness to continue with the current ethos and values of the school which have proven to be so successful.
The position offers the opportunity to lead a highly motivated and professional leadership team and committed staff. The holistic approach to the wellbeing and happiness of the students is integral to the teaching of the National Curriculum at the school and you need to prove inspirational leadership to continue and improve upon current aspirations for students and staff.
The school is embarking on an ambitious building programme to accommodate the expanding student population and you will need to show excellent administrative skills in dealing with this programme as well as showing strong interpersonal abilities in working with the Local Authority, contractors and the wider community.
