St Andrew’s School seeks an Inspirational Headteacher for our wonderful school that sits in the heart of beautiful Devon.

We are seeking an exceptional individual, who has proven leadership skills and who will inspire and motivate others towards excellence. As the successful candidate you will need to lead by example, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential and is well prepared for their move to secondary school.

You will be supported by an enthusiastic and engaged team of governors, alongside a team of collaborative and dedicated teachers and TAs with a wide range of complimentary talents and expertise. We are also fortunate to have a supportive parent body.

We want our prospective head to be visionary, hard-working, dynamic and self-motivated, able to clearly identify, along with staff and governors, areas where we need to improve. You will develop strategies to inspire and lead the team to build on our proven strengths to ensure that we continue to deliver the best for our children.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven management and senior leadership capability and experience.
  • High expectations of achievement and behaviour including an ability to recognise potential and celebrate achievement.
  • A high regard for children and a commitment to meeting the special needs of all pupils.
  • High level experience of school development planning and evaluation, with a full understanding of the school improvement process.
  • Understanding of and aptitude for leading projects for the development of the school, with enthusiasm for pursuit of additional funding.
  • Promotion of innovation and creativity and the ability to demonstrate a positive attitude to, and effective management of change.

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they are a practising Christian.
