Headteacher

The Governors of this unique special school seek to appoint a committed, experienced and enthusiastic Headteacher with strong and proven senior leadership experience.

Villa Real is a dynamic, forward thinking and nurturing Special School catering for students with a wide range of special educational needs. This includes PMLD, complex medical conditions, severe learning difficulties, and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We also have specific Conductive Education classes. Pupils travel from across County Durham to attend the school.

Our staff are dedicated and experienced in enabling our pupils to reach their full potential. We seek to recruit a leader to build on our current strengths and lead us forward.

Applicants will therefore need to provide leadership of a high quality in the academic, pastoral and management fields and be able to show evidence of the successful implementation of change.
