Located at the heart of Weardale, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Wolsingham School is just a short drive west of Durham. Based on our four pillars of academic excellence, a rich extracurricular life, character and citizenship, and exceptional pastoral care, we are committed to helping every child fulfil their true potential.

Our school is a great place to teach. Students are well-behaved and their relationships with staff are excellent. We run 10-15 extracurricular clubs each term and a huge range of educational visits and activities throughout the year.   In 2018, Ofsted warmly confirmed our ‘Good’ rating saying, “Pupils are very happy at school and wear their uniform with pride.” Our staff and Leadership Team are also extremely supportive and we provide excellent professional development opportunities.
