St Anne’s School, Sixth Form College and Residence is an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ local authority maintained Community Special School of approximately 170 students aged 2-19, serving the needs of families in a wide area of the East Riding of Yorkshire and beyond. The school occupies brand new, multi-million-pound premises in Hessle, in the western suburbs of Kingston-Upon-Hull.

All students have complex medical needs, profound and multiple learning difficulties or autism spectrum conditions. Our dedicated and talented staff are exceptional in managing their needs and developing their potential. Students are day-attendees and there is a Local Authority residential unit attached to the school, providing regular respite care for some of our students and which is an integral part of the school’s organisation.

Due to the retirement of our long-standing and much respected Headteacher we seek an inspirational leader to shape the next chapter of our school’s story.

Our new Headteacher will demonstrate:

• an accomplished record of success in delivering all aspects of Safeguarding in an educational and ideally, social care setting
•  proven leadership experience in several educational settings

• proven ability to think strategically with vision and commitment to build on St Anne’s School’s outstanding reputation and delivery of future aspirations
• genuine ability to engage with, and influence, all stakeholders, including outside agencies and partners
•  imagination to continually drive continuous improvement including extra curricula and enrichment activities by motivating, supporting and encouraging every member of staff at the school
