The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to the post of Headteacher.

Elfed High School is an 11-16 school, and is expected to have approximately 795 students on roll in September 2018. This is more than a 50% increase in students since September 2016. 

Elfed High School is located in the town of Buckley which is within the North-East Wales county of Flintshire, approximately 10 miles from Chester and 12 miles from Wrexham. 

There are good transport links to the North West, Cheshire and Shropshire.The post offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, committed individual who has demonstrated that he / she:

The school was judged to be ‘excellent’ by, Estyn, in February 2015 and won the Wales Quality Award at the end of 2016 in the face of robust competition from the business and other sectors, private and public. The rapid growth of the school and the changing education landscape in Wales will present some significant challenges for the new Headteacher. However, the successful candidate will be supported by a strong team and supportive community.

Elfed High School is an Outstanding Learning Community, where the staff and students share a passion for excellent teaching and learning. This is a mixed comprehensive school, 11 to 16 age range, with 930 students currently on roll.
