The governors of St Benedict’s CofE VA Junior School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced leader who will take the school forward to the next phase of its development. This is your chance to make a real impact and shape the future of our school. 

We are looking for a Headteacher who:

• has proven leadership skills, vision, passion, and motivation to respond successfully to changes in primary education, continually striving to raise standards and expectations in the school;
• will create and promote a culture of excellence among staff and pupils alike, where the children are at the centre of first-rate learning opportunities;
• will be committed to promoting, developing and nurturing the Christian ethos of the school and its links with the church and diocese;
• has a strong belief that every child has unique gifts and supports them in achieving their maximum potential, including those with special educational needs and disability;
• will continue to develop the school family, through effective and clear communication to the children, parents, staff and wider community;
• will be committed to upholding the Christian values of the school.

We are a VA Church School with close community links located in an interesting and vibrant town which attracts a wide diversity of other faiths and spiritualities.
