Are you seeking a new challenge?
Do you share our passion for education and want to make a difference to our children's future?
The Board of Directors of St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is pleased to offer this great opportunity to appoint an ambitious Headteacher, who will report to the Chief Executive Officer of the Trust, to lead St Chad’s Catholic and Church of England Academy.
We believe this represents an excellent opportunity for the right person to make an outstanding contribution to shaping the future direction of our academy. St Chad’s is on a journey of rapid improvement, supported by experienced professionals within the St Joseph Catholic MAT; the successful candidate must have an excellent understanding of the Ofsted and Section 48 inspection frameworks. It is essential that the candidate has enthusiasm and a commitment to improving outcomes for our pupils supporting them to develop spiritually, morally, socially and academically.
St Chad’s is unique in being the only faith school in Runcorn and the only joint-church school in Cheshire working within a fully inclusive, faith centred, welcoming Christian community guided by the example of Jesus Christ. Values of Love, Respect, Charity and Community shine through school life at St Chad’s, where a ‘Faith in God, Ability and Each Other’ thrives.
Accordingly, we are looking for an individual with previous experience as a headteacher or deputy headteacher who possesses outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to enthuse, motivate and engage pupils, colleagues and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will:
- be a practising Catholic or Anglican with a strong faith commitment ensuring that the teachings of Jesus Christ are at the centre of our education
- demonstrate significant and successful leadership in the secondary sector with a strong understanding of evidence-based school improvement
- possess skills to build excellent relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community
In return we can offer you:
- enthusiastic and ambitious children who are keen to learn
- support from headteacher colleagues within the Trust along with an experienced Local Governing Body
- access to the wider Diocesan family and expert support from our school improvement team
- extensive professional development opportunities
For an informal discussion, please contact Michael Gun-Why, Director of School Improvement for Secondary: m.gun-why@stjosephmat.org.uk. It is strongly recommended that you take the time to visit our academy websites.
St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks are required for relevant posts.
