Stanburn Primary School is a culturally rich four-form of entry school; we are seeking a dynamic, confident, and inspirational Headteacher to lead this highly successful school. Due to the retirement of the present Headteacher at the end of the spring term 2022, the position becomes available from the beginning of the summer term or September 2022. The Governing Body is inviting applications from current Headteachers or an outstanding Deputy with successful strategic senior management experience across the whole primary age range.

Stanburn is a high-achieving school at the heart of the thriving Stanmore community. At its full capacity, the school has approximately 800 children on its roll. Performance is extremely high and the school is supported by enthusiastic staff who are passionate and dedicated to improving the progress and attainment of all the pupils.

  • Able to develop and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, evaluate pupils’ achievements and implement strategies for further development;   
  • Able to demonstrate extensive and successful experience in whole school self-evaluation, innovative curriculum development and strategic implementation of whole school policies;   
  • Able to work under pressure, possess physical and emotional resilience and maintain and display positive attitude who is confident in making sound and timely decisions;  
  • Able to maintain excellent relationships with staff, parents, pupils, and governors and demonstrate motivation and inspiration.
