We are looking for an outstanding and motivated Headteacher who can join us from September 2025, to build on the excellent work that is already in place and to deliver the Hayes vision, to have uncompromising aspirations for every individual and for our school to be an exceptional and inspirational community of lifelong learners

 

Hayes School is a mixed secondary, world class school that aims to develop lifelong learners and nurture talents in all students. Based in the London Borough of Bromley, it comprises of 1700 students aged 11 – 18. Hayes School is a high achieving, oversubscribed school, which provides excellent education for its students as well as exciting opportunities for professional and career development for staff. (Graded ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted 2022). The school benefits from its proximity to central London and excellent transport links whilst bordering the beautiful Kent countryside.

 

Hayes School is part of Impact Multi Academy Trust, which currently comprises of three other secondary schools and our three primary schools, with a further secondary school due to join our Trust in April. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Headteacher who understands the power of deep collaboration. They will work with our Chief Executive, the other Trust Headteachers, Central Trust team, trustees and governors to continue to develop this outstanding school, which ensures an exceptional education for all students.

 

We are looking for a colleague who will:

  • Demonstrate the knowledge, experience, skills and commitment to lead our school at the very highest level.
  • Exhibit the determination and enthusiasm needed to lead the school, applying the Trust’s vision and values and deepening effective collaboration between their secondary school and the wider Trust.
  • Have the highest expectations of staff and pupils and the vision to develop and build a strong staff team and cohesive student body and to build strong relationships with parents.
  • Inspire and motivate all pupils and staff to develop in a well-disciplined, ambitious, and harmonious environment.
  • Enable all pupils to achieve their potential, ensuring that they leave school as mature, rounded, resilient individuals, ready to take their places as active citizens in the wider world.
  • Lead on behaviour, attitudes and personal development and be committed to the delivery of the highest standards of teaching and learning.
