Job/Person Summary 

Haven Nursery School in Gosport is a popular, vibrant and thriving venue at the heart of the local community.  The Centre comprises of a local maintained nursery school with on-site Forest School and childcare provision.  In addition, Haven is a lead centre for early years expertise for the Foundations Teaching School Alliance, which supports professional colleagues in other schools and early years settings, to develop their practice.    

Haven has an immensely dedicated team of staff and Governors, who commit to outstanding practice and believe that the children are core to everything they do.  In addition we work extremely closely with the other two Local Authority Maintained Nursery Schools in Hampshire.  

The Centre has had a period of interim leadership over the last two years and we now seek an inspirational and dynamic individual who has the vision, enthusiasm, commitment and skill to lead us through the next stage of our journey.  The nursery school was judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in October 2017.   

You will have a passion for early year’s education, be an innovative, quick thinker with the ability to implement and drive through change.  We welcome applications from individuals either with or without QTS.
