A fantastic opportunity has arisen to lead our vibrant and diverse community school based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Holwell Primary is perfectly located for job seekers from Herts, Beds and London, with excellent transport links to London and the A1.

As we enter into the next phase of our school’s journey, we are looking for an outward thinking, outstanding leader with vision, drive, and passion to take our school forward and further develop our school, children and staff. The successful candidate will lead our expanding school with strength and confidence and be able to collaborate with staff, pupils, parents and governors to influence the outcomes that the school faces on its journey to achieve continuous improvement and outstanding results.

We are looking for a Headteacher with:

  • The enthusiasm, drive and commitment to motivate and inspire staff to ensure quality teaching and learning opportunities for all
  • A rigorous approach in identifying pupil achievement gaps and an innovative approach to the  implementation of interventions to address these gaps
  • An ability to turn challenging situations into positive outcomes
  • The ability to forge close working relationships with pupils, staff, parents/carers, governors, and the wider community
  • The vision and willingness to bring all stakeholders on board and move our school forward to the next level, ensuring our children get the best possible education they deserve

In return we offer you:

  • The opportunity to make your mark and embrace the challenges and prospects we face as a growing school
  • A well-resourced school and range of facilities and large grounds to enable enriching teaching and learning opportunities for our children
  • Commitment to support your professional development and access to excellent training and developing packages with Herts for Learning

If you wish to get a flavour for Holwell, we welcome the opportunity to visit our wonderful school, meet with our staff team and talk with the children.
