Castell Alun High School is a very successful 11-18 English medium high school with over 1350 students on roll, situated in the village of Hope, Flintshire.  The school was originally built in 1958 and serves a wide area of communities.

The school was last inspected by Estyn in September 2017 and was described as "providing an exceptionally positive, caring and supportive environment for its pupils" and having a "positive, supportive and purposeful ethos across the school".

The Governing Body is looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Headteacher with the vision, experience and skills to continue to lead the school.

We can offer a happy and caring body of students together with motivated and dedicated staff, together with strong and developed community partnerships.  "The school is highly successful in promoting exceptionally strong levels of pupil wellbeing.  This has a significant impact on pupils' personal development and the standards they achieve" - ESTYN 2017.
