St Mary Abbots Church of England Primary School is a one form entry school and is situated in the heart of Kensington & Chelsea. It has a small village-like setting and a real sense of a pastoral Christian family community. Its unique, safe, nurturing environment is loved by children and parents alike. It has excellent transport links making it easily accessible. 

Due to the retirement of our long standing Headteacher, the Governing Board of this unique school is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Headteacher to lead the school into its next chapter.

St Mary Abbots Primary School embraces a broader quality of education and has many special attributes. We are seeking a Headteacher who will reinforce these, and who can inspire and lead our whole community with a strong sense of purpose and direction developing the children's academic achievement as well as their physical and spiritual development.  

The school is intimately connected with the church, both of which are situated on the same grounds. This plays an important part in the school and the connection helps to nurture a caring, inclusive atmosphere. 

We are looking for a Headteacher who: 

• Is a dynamic, inspiring leader who can continue to motivate the staff and lead the school into its next chapter of Outstanding.  
• Is deeply committed to the future of the school and promotes the Christian values. 
• Will be committed and relentless in pursuit of excellence and have a vision for education, with the strategic leadership and communication skills needed to deliver this. 
• Will encourage inquisitive learning and help every child to develop in skills and knowledge, in confidence and personal responsibility with respect for others. 
• Will welcome parents and carers at the heart of the children's education.
