This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record of success to lead St John’s Church of England Primary School forward into the next stage of its development. 

St John’s is a high performing and popular primary school with a strong, committed staff team and enthusiastic, well-motivated pupils. We need a Headteacher with the skills, leadership and enthusiasm to continue to build upon St John’s high standards.

Supported by Wellsway Multi Academy Trust and its family of schools, your role will be to lead St John’s forward and secure the very best outcomes for the school. 

Wellsway Multi Academy Trust is at an exciting stage in its development. The Trust currently comprises of ten schools with more planning to join and is moving towards its vision of being a truly inclusive provider of 3-19 education in East Bristol and Bath. As a senior trust leader, you will have opportunities to work with Headteachers and schools across the trust, benefitting from the wealth of experience that exists and developing your own school improvement skills.

Wellsway Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Your suitability to work with children and young people will form part of the selection process. For this post, prior to appointment Wellsway Multi Academy Trust will apply for a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring check, a Children’s Barred list check, two satisfactory references, satisfactory pre-employment health screening and for Teachers, a Prohibition Check in relation to the children’s workforce. In some settings a Declaration will be required in order to meet our obligations under the ‘Disqualification under the Childcare Act 2006. 

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Visits will take place on: 

  • Wednesday 2nd May 2018 at 10:00 
  • Thursday 3rd May 2018 at 10.00 
  • Wednesday 9th May 2018 at 11:00
