Job overview

Job Reference Number: ED 16792

The staff, children and Governors of High Bank School are looking for an enthusiastic and committed new head teacher to take the next step in leading this ‘Good’ school and build on our success.

Our recent very positive Ofsted inspection noted “the curriculum is exciting and is enriched with many opportunities to deepen pupils’ learning,” and “pupils clearly enjoy coming to school.”

High Bank is a small, intimate school with 140 children on roll, including 30 in nursery and reception. The school has good facilities, including a new early years unit, and extensive grounds for outdoor learning, sport and play.

We are proud of our:

  • Friendly children who care for each other.
  • Strong dedicated and caring staff team.
  • Supportive governors and parents.
  • Partnership with the extended community.
  • Positive and inclusive working environment.

Do you have the skills, enthusiasm and motivation to help our children excel?

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
